    [ English ]

Recently, I got a question from one of my students. It stated, "What exactly is pot odds and is Texas hold’em pot odds method worth pursuing?"

One factor to bear in mind, any type of Texas hold em odds can and usually do receive really confusing. Nonetheless, let me break pot probabilities down in very uncomplicated terms. Please note that we are only discussing Pot Odds. Not outs, implied odds, easy probabilities or something else like that.

In short, pot probabilities are the probabilities you obtain when determining the ratio of the amount of money in the pot to the amount of money it will price you to call the wager.

For example, let’s say you are heads up with Player A. If there’s $150 in the pot after the flop and Gambler A places a $20 bet it is going to cost you only thirteen per-cent of the pot to stay in the hand. If your likelihood of succeeding is greater than thirteen percent it is a no-brainer to call because you’d probably have good pot probabilities.

That’s all there would be to it genuinely. Texas hold’em pot probabilities boils down to one thing. If your chance of succeeding is much better than the ratio of the pot size to the bet then you have great pot odds. If it’s lower than you have bad pot probabilities.

One a lot more thought about Hold em pot odds. You’re still playing the player much more so than anything else. Bet on the gambler additional than your starting hands or the size of the chip stack and even, yes the pot odds.

If you can learn to read your opponents well you’ll be able to utilize pot odds to support justify or solidify your judgement. Except Hold em pot probabilities don’t need to be an end all whenever you generate a poker conclusion.

Knowing and understanding how Hold em pot odds work is usually a useful and successful system. But again don’t produce Texas hold em pot probabilities your only system.
